The solid pine grain reads warm and open along the slim round stem, deepening at the carved candle cup where years of use have darkened the creases and chipped the edges into something genuinely worn. The heavy square base grounds the whole piece, its surface rubbed smooth in some spots and roughened in others. Nothing about the distressed wood texture feels treated or manufactured.
